UXDA Chooses Preses Nama Kvartāls: Where Design Philosophy Meets Architecture
Digital experience design company UXDA has chosen a Class A office building in Preses Nama Kvartāls for its new headquarters. The company was drawn not only by the building’s location and panoramic views of Riga and the Daugava, but also by its distinctive architecture, which naturally resonates with UXDA’s design philosophy – creating distinctive, recognizable and thoughtfully designed experiences rather than simply following the standard.
UXDA Chooses Preses Nama Kvartāls: Where Design Philosophy Meets Architecture
UXDA is an international digital experience partner that creates digital experiences for leading financial institutions in more than 39 countries, from Dubai to California. Working with banks and financial brands across different markets worldwide, the company’s team encounters increasingly high expectations for design quality, innovation and customer experience every day. That is why the environment in which such design is created must meet the same high standards.
“UXDA’s design philosophy is about creating experiences with a character of their own, rather than simply following what has already been done. That is why, when choosing our new office, we were looking for more than just a convenient location or a beautiful view – we wanted a place with its own identity. What appealed to us about the architecture of Preses Nama Kvartāls was precisely this distinctiveness. It is not another standard office building, but a space with a recognizable character that resonates strongly with the way we think about design ourselves. We even noticed a visual similarity between certain architectural details of the building and the central symbol of the UXDA logo. This gave us the feeling that our choice was not only a rational one, but also an organic fit with our own design story,” says Linda Zaikovska-Daukste, Co-Founder of UXDA.
The distinctive architecture of the Preses Nama Kvartāls office building was designed by ARHIS Arhitekti in collaboration with Danish architecture firm Arrow Architects, transforming the site’s complex technical constraints into a strong visual identity. The expressive column and truss structure, based on the principles of bridge construction, not only gives the building its dynamic appearance and creates impressive 24-metre spans, but also eliminates the need for internal columns in the office spaces, providing maximum flexibility and adaptability in interior layouts. Meanwhile, the glazed and recessed levels visually reduce the scale of the building and create a connection with the surrounding public urban environment.
“UXDA continues to develop as an international digital experience partner for financial services, so our new office had to reflect not only who we are today, but also the direction in which we are heading. At Preses Nama Kvartāls, we see a clear vision for growth and the potential for the project to become an important hub for modern business in Riga. It stands out through its distinctive and immediately recognizable architectural identity – and this is precisely the kind of individuality we help our clients create in the digital environment,” emphasizes Aleksandrs Krēgers, Founder of UXDA.
The office building at Preses Nama Kvartāls offers companies the opportunity to create spaces tailored to their specific work requirements and team culture. The building’s layout accommodates both more compact office solutions – the smallest available office is 127 m² – and larger spaces for bigger teams. By leasing an entire floor, companies can create an office of up to 2,500 m².
Panoramic views, natural daylight, terraces and the surrounding environment become an important part of the everyday work experience. This focus on the human experience is one of the aspects UXDA particularly values in its new working environment.
“When choosing an office, employee wellbeing is becoming increasingly important for companies. Today, a workplace is more than simply a space where people spend their working day – it is an environment where colleagues connect, ideas emerge, achievements are celebrated and company culture takes shape. We are delighted that UXDA has chosen Preses Nama Kvartāls and that the new office location has already generated genuine excitement among the company’s team,” says Jekaterina Zariņa, Leasing Manager at Preses Nama Kvartāls.
“Few office buildings offer such a high degree of flexibility in meeting tenants’ space requirements while also providing the opportunity to move into premises prepared by the developer. This is particularly important for companies that want to create a working environment tailored to their team while also valuing a clear, efficient and predictable relocation process. Preses Nama Kvartāls allows tenants to adapt the space to their specific needs without giving up the opportunity to move into a high-quality, fully prepared office environment,” says Artūrs Rundzāns, Real Estate Consultant at KIVI Real Estate.
The tenant community at the Class A office building in Preses Nama Kvartāls continues to grow. In addition to lease agreements already signed with companies such as OP Bank, Deloitte, Vendon, VILGERTS, Berlin-Chemie/Menarini Baltic and Utilitas Wind, other tenants have reserved more than 2,000 m² of office space.
The business centre is also developing an everyday infrastructure focused on wellbeing. The family restaurant “Irbēni” will offer healthy meals, while a Pilates studio will support tenants’ daily exercise and active lifestyle needs. The first tenants are expected to start working in the building in January 2027.
