Chairman of the Riga City Council visits the Preses Nama Kvartāls
In June, Preses Nama Kvartāls welcomed the Chairman of the Riga City Council, Viesturs Kleinbergs. As part of the visit, the Mayor of Riga toured the quarter’s Business Centre building, which is scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2026.

The visit took place as construction works reached their final phase, with the upcoming central business district on the left bank of the Daugava River increasingly defining the city’s skyline. “Projects like Preses Nama Kvartāls are essential for the development of Riga – they shape a new business environment, help attract investors, and create jobs. This project strengthens Riga’s competitiveness both in the Baltic region and internationally,” emphasised Viesturs Kleinbergs, Chairman of the Riga City Council, during his visit to Preses Nama Kvartāls.
During the tour, architect Raimonds Saulītis from ARHIS Arhitekti – the studio responsible for the quarter’s development concept and the transformation of the historic Preses Nams high-rise into a modern business environment – shared insights into the architectural vision. Meanwhile, Ivars Kļavinskis, Director of the project’s general contractor SIA PN Construction Latvia, provided an update on the progress of the construction works.
Several key technical and interior milestones were achieved in June:
- The first of the 10 Business Centre elevators has been commissioned;
- The installation of partition walls in the restrooms and elevator lobbies has begun;
- Landscaping works are scheduled to commence in July.
These steps follow the completion of the building’s main load-bearing structures and facade, marking the transition to the final fit-out stage and the development of the public outdoor space.
Preses Nama Kvartāls is one of the most ambitious mixed-use development projects in Riga, combining a Class A business centre, a multifunctional building with over 1,000 parking spaces, future residential and office developments, as well as extensive, landscaped public outdoor areas. The quarter is designed as a modern, sustainable, and vibrant environment where business growth organically intertwines with high-quality public space, sustainable mobility solutions, and an outstanding experience for both Riga residents and visitors.
